It was the first day of twelfth grade and as usual I went to Akshat’s house so that we can leave for school together. It had been more like a ritual, the only thing that changes was the house where we used to meet before leaving for school. Somedays he used to come at my place to go for school other days I used to go his place. It would take us around ten minutes by foot to reach our school. Whether it was fate or pure luck, the good thing was that we had been in the same class for past seven years till the twelfth grade . Dennis Prager once said “Goodness is about character - integrity, honesty, kindness, generosity, moral courage, and the like. More than anything else, it is about how we treat other people.” From the minute you are born your family starts inflicting some sort of moral principle, rather it be a good one, bad one or one that you even follow at all. One of the first things I remember my parents saying as a child is to not do something to another, if I did not want it done to myself. Up to this day, I still think it is important to think of others before doing something, be honest with others, always keep promises, be trustworthy and be forgiving.…
