While unveiling the true nature of beasts and savages amongst us. What impacted me as a reader was Goulding’s use of tone throughout the whole text. It was clear that reading this it wasn’t going to be another book with heroes and grand quests in fact it’s quite the opposite. The author indicates the true nature of human kind and how cruel we could become when we give in to our madness through innocent school boys who were raised to be proper. But what then when no one is watching? Are we capable of preserving our morals? Or do we unleash the monstrosity
