Everything was going great that summer. There was not much to worry about since there was no more school work, less activities, and more freetime. Everything and everyone in Roselle were living their lives and having a good time. The temperature was ranging between sixty and eighty degrees and I was more joyful than ever, but that would all eventually change. It all would… The date was June twenty second, and I received the call saying my best friend, Christopher, had never made it back to his home. A little bit later, I was told that Christopher was found. I exclaimed, “Great! Could I talk to him by any chance?”
His mom, Marian choked on her own words and said, “I’m…afraid you can’t-Christopher was killed.”
All the excitement and my emotions

Remember that we are in this together and that I will not stop fighting until I find out who killed Christopher.”
Marian perked up a little and spoke quietly, “That’s good to know. I just have to think of…”
Interrupting her I said, “About what? Is there more to the story that I don’t know about?”
Replying quickly, she said positively, “Oh, no, no, no Issac! That’s all I know, but I was wondering about how to explain it Christopher’s brother and sister, Matthew and Rachel. Contact me if you think of anything.
“Alright. I’ll try to help out as much as I can.”
I did not shed a tear…, since I knew I had to stay strong for everyone, including myself. Instantly, I broke down. I simply just barely maintain my emotions. My mind was sprinkled all over the place and all of my thoughts were too. I felt like my life had been dragged out of me. The fact that I hung out with him the night of his death made it that much harder for me to handle. My parents discovered that Christopher was killed a few minutes after I spoke with the Christopher’s mom but I zoned them out.
I went to bed that night wondering if it was my fault. I thought that he could have lived if I took him back home and protected him. However, I realized that this was totally unexpected and that there was not really anything I could have

I rethought everything Christopher and I did together. First, we had our soccer game. Then we went to Portillo’s to meet up with some of our buddies, Britney, Michael, Jamal, and Jessica. After that, we went back to my house to watch Thursday night football. I just couldn’t understand how everything could have gone wrong after such a great day. The only thing that occurred after was Chris walking home on the trail. All of the possibilities hit me at a rapid fire, hurting my head. I realized that the only people who could have known about it were “our friends” since they overheard us
