In China they brought in a new policy about 30 years ago in 1979 which indicates that couples can only have one child. But if a couple has a child that is born with birth defects or major health problems then the couple are permitted to have a second child. Abortion can be a very lengthy and painful process; it can cause so many issues with the female body such as an incomplete abortion, haemorrhage (which is excessive bleeding) and damage to the cervix. This could cause many complications in a woman’s life.
