Oncologist Career Plan

My name is Cheslie Prestwood I go to South Caldwell High School I am in the 10th grade. My interest in career is being a Radiation Oncologist because when I was in 7th grade my grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer. I started figuring out what I wanted to do and I did an internship at Mccreary Cancer Center. I really liked it and I went to the meeting where we walked around learning about all the different jobs in the hospital. I want to be an oncologist because I like the fact that i'm helping people. I would say it's my dream job my plan has always been finish high school, go to college for four years, and become an oncologist. My plans for this career is to make a difference, I haven't had cancer but I have had family members who had or do have cancer, I think it would make me feel more good about myself if i'm making a difference in other people's lives. …show more content…
My plans for this career is to succeed in making a difference in people's lives, and I will do everything in my power to overcome all the obstacles to become an oncologist. I am really determined for this to be my job in the near future. I think it will be a great opportunity for me to get to do volunteer work either at a cancer center or going to med camp, so that way I know what it is going to be like working with other people and getting used to talking to patients, and knowing how to do the stuff I need to know when working. My second option would be diagnostic imaging, because I find it remarkable to analyze images and give diagnosis for what it
