After reading “On Entering a New Place” I felt the author was trying to convey we expect everything to fall into place and things just don’t work that way at times, “you expect night to come.” And when it doesn’t go the way we want we’re left unknowing of what to do next. I took Barry Lopez’s writing opened my eyes a little bit more, and it helped me realize that life doesn’t go as planned, and that’s okay we just need to go with it.
