Many professionals played volleyball in the olympics. Such as, Kerri Walsh Jennings she actually started out doing indoor volleyball playing at Stanford University. She was in the Olympics and won four Olympians and then three gold medalists. Another great player was Misty May- Trenor, she started indoor volleyball at, Long Beach University. She was also a four time Olympian and a three time gold medalist just like Kerri Walsh Jennings.

“Volleyball” the word itself came from a man named WillIam G. morgan. However the original was “Mintonette” but thankfully changed early on. Beach volleyball and regular volleyball became very popular in 1915-1920’s
