Whats the weather like?
The Olmec didn’t wear a ton of clothes. The area the Olmec were in was very rainey, so their clothes were effected by the climate. With Mexico being mainly rainey there wasn’t a need for a lot of clothing. The people in our exhibit will mainly be in their houses working away from the rain. Their clothing is one of the most important parts of geography because if it was really cold in their area the Olmec would want to wear warmer clothing. Geography is important because without knowing about the climate the weather could change their daily practices.

¬¬ Have you ever wondered how civilizations managed to live during the height of their power? One of the greatest pre-conquest Mesoamerican cultures was the “Toltecs.” According to the dictionary of World History, it defines the Toltec civilization as: A northern Mexican tribe, who established a military state between the 10th and 12th centuries at Tula, 80 km north of modern Mexico City. Throughout my studies of chapter 4 unit 1 in the textbook titled, “Geography” by Holt McDougal I have obtained a wide amount of knowledge of how physical geography has had an impact on human history. Culture, religion, politics, and societies are some of the prime examples of what aspects of human life were affected. I have also obtained information about other subjects like the origin of man and the affect of agriculture through packets, worksheets, and videos like, “The Journey of Man” by Spencer Wells. All listed information pertaining to physical geography provides information contributing to the idea of how physical geography has affected humans. To a great portion of geographers, claiming that physical geography has had a huge impact on human history would be more than just an understatement.…
