Originally from Russia, “born and raised” in St. Petersburg, the former capital of prerevolutionary Russia, I ended up living in sunny Florida for the last seven years. I would never have expected that I am going to live on the other side of the planet, but sometimes life takes unusual turns.
I was born in the time when Russia used to be a Soviet Union. My family was pretty formal: my father is an engineer, and my mother was teaching in the college. I graduated University in 1997, and my major was Literature and Languages. I love reading, Russian classic literature is my favorite. I can say that Art and especially Visual Arts is my second passion. I have travelled all over the world, and I was lucky to see most of the masterpieces in the major museums in Paris, London, Rome, Moscow and St. Petersburg. I have so many favorite artists so it would take two pages to list them all. I love going to the galleries and go through the long halls with the paintings, sculptures or

"Ai Weiwei: Without Fear or Favor." My artistic talent, in comparison to past classmates and relatives, has always been overshadowed so subsequently I had little desire to develop whatever talents I did possess. Notwithstanding, I’ve always wanted to be able to sculpt, paint, and draw with the same ease and beauty those past friends and teachers had shown. Moreover, I’ve always enjoyed museums and art galleries or anything that enhances my overall knowledge in various cultures and their histories. Furthermore, I love to travel and I feel that an environmental submersion into a culture’s art and history can provide an increased appreciation for their diversity altogether.…

I was born in Germany, where I was surrounded by rich European art. Most of my artwork represents places, buildings, and artists that I was exposed to while living in Germany. I was introduced to art at an early age by my mother who took me to an art museum where I began taking art lessons at. Throughout the years I developed a heartfelt passion for art and the medieval era. When we left Germany my art was still in a cartoonist style, but when we came over to the US my elementary and high school art teacher helped me develop a more realistic style that shows traces of my heritage.…
