Olga Khazan's 'When You Don T Afford Sleep'

Olga Khazan, in “When You Can’t Afford Sleep,” states that low-income people in the U.S. are more likely to suffer from sleep-deprivation. Approximately half of people earned less than thirty thousands can’t sleep more than six hours compared to 34% people earned more than seventy-five thousands dollars.
Khazan thinks that there are two big reasons why they don’t sleep enough. The first reason is they don’t have enough time stayed in the bed and need to work for survival. Too much expenses and low minimum wages push them to do two jobs. They also don’t have personal transportation to save time on the way work. Khazan also think there are some historical reason since two hundreds years ago. People want to more time to sleep.
