Widening your surroundings is essential in transitioning into college. By meeting new people and learning and interacting with people unlike yourself will help you in this transition. I so far have joined the club soccer team and have met so many people that I probably would have never met if I didn’t. It is no doubt the best decision I have made here in Oxford so far. I have also joined the Greek life on campus and automatically have 150 potential friends that I am now capable of making. There are people all across America and even some from England that I get the opportunity to meet. Although I’ve started to become involved on campus and broadening my horizons, I have still struggled. This transition has been relatively hard for which is quite shocking to me because I am very outgoing. But I believe that if I just put myself out there a little but more, try to make and be friends with everyone and can start to have great freshman year and settle in nicely. I also have to remember the Creed when meeting new people. I need to be respectful and honest and civil with my community and even myself. Without these characteristics inclusion with others would
