Is The Earth Right Or Wrong Essay

Was the earth made thousands of years ago or millions of years ago? The earth is something that humans have theorized about for many years, but we don’t know which ones are right or wrong. One of the most controversial ideas that humans have is how old the earth is. People have come up with two options, the first is the New Earth idea which believes that the earth was made thousands of years ago, the other idea is the Old Earth perspective where people believe the earth was made millions of years ago. In my opinion, both are right, and both are wrong because it is said in the Bible that one day is a thousand years with God. The first perspective of the earth is the New Earth idea. The New Earth idea believes that the earth was made thousands of years ago. This belief usually goes along with what the Bible says and is known to be the “Christian perspective” to some, but not always. The Bible says that God made the earth in seven days which could possibly follow the timeline of the Bible. This is not always true because there is about a said 1700 year gap between creation and Noah in the book of Genesis. We don’t know this to be totally true because it was the beginning of everything as we know it and it’s hard to find evidence of this from so …show more content…
I believe that the age of the earth is unknown. It is probably more than a thousand years, and maybe even more than millions of years. My main supporting detail to this is the gap in Genesis, but there is another factor. The Bible states a very interesting fact: “But we do not forget one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” (2 Peter 3:8) In Genesis the Bible says it took God six days to create the earth. If we think about this verse, it could be saying that the earth took thousands of years to make instead of just six days. This is another factor into deciding how old the earth actually

While young-earth contends that the earth was created in six days and dates the earth as merely thousands of years old. On the contrary, the old-earth view is that the earth is more than 4.56 billion years old. Furthermore, its existence is based on a series of combustions related to clouds of gas. Moreover, old-earth view denies any existence of a superior being and/or creator, whereas young-earth’s view is based on witness accounts from the Bible and acknowledges the existence of the ultimate creator, God as being the sole creator of all existence. “By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible” (Hebrews…

For decades, scientists have conducted research on all living things; to help us determine what life is, what life does, and why things live. During life, several miraculous things take place, and among those things is change. Change that can start a chain reaction over decades, centuries, even millenia. We call these changes evolution. This is completely different from the Biblical Worldview that states that God created everything. Genesis1:1 “in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”. This is saying that God himself began his creations with earth, not that the earth was here and God became part of it. God came first and then everything else followed, not God second or that they both occurred at the same time. It is similar because both worldviews believed a god(s) are behind all creation and destruction.…

    The Precambrian Time

Precambrian time covers the tremendous greater part of the Earth's history, beginning with the planet's creation around 4.5 billion years prior and finishing with the development of complex, multi celled life-shapes very nearly four billion years after the fact. The Precambrian is the most punctual of the geologic ages, which are set apart by various layers of sedimentary rock. Set down over a huge number of years, these stone layers contain a lasting record of the Earth's past, including the fossilized stays of plants and creatures covered when the silt were shaped. The Earth was at that point more than 600 million years of age when life started. The planet had cooled off from its unique liquid state, adding to a strong hull and seas made…
