The boy tsked at him, his tongue clicking against the roof of his mouth. “Ah– that’s what they all say.”
Daniel gulped. “Who’s ‘they?’”
“Oh you know,” the redhead smiled richly, “all of the lost boys that had wandered in these woods and never returned to their loving mothers, only to go missing for the rest of their days.”
“That’s bosh (8) and you know it,” the flaxen-haired boy claimed, his eyes widening by the minute, “Who’s the owner of such silly words?”
“Peter- The name’s Peter Pan,” Peter said, though rather blowly, (9) striking Daniel in the heart where all of his malicious intentions and bad thoughts were stored, deep down inside. And with a forced sense of politeness, Daniel introduced himself in the simplest way he thought possible.
“I’m Daniel Darling.”
