First , Okonkwo kills Ikemefuna which was more like a son to him . Ikemefuna depended/counted on Okonkwo for protection and he completely betrayed him. Okonkwo is continuously committing crimes trying to prove to others his strength not realizing he is going about it the wrong way. He also beats his youngest wife during the Week of peace which also makes others look at him differently because they are realizing he is such a violent person . Okonkwo thinks as if this is making his reputation better not realizing his actions are making people dislike him .
The actions he has committed all goes back to the beginning yes he may have not had a good household growing up but that's no excuse for the actions he has been making. He is ruining his reputation instead of trying to be better than his father and making a better reputation. Eventually his wrong will catch up to him because what he is doing is not right. In chapter 13 it says, “The elders said, if one finger brought oil it soiled the others. In this textual evidence they're basically saying one's actions can affect the ones around them, as I said at the beginning.
Overall, I believe that Okonkwo will be killed towards the end because he has committed 2 murders and plenty of domestic abuse. He is also very disrespectful to his Gods. So most likely some time soon they will feel that the best idea is to kill him
