Okonkwo Vs Ezinma

In the book Things Fall Apart author Chinua Achebe describes Okonkwo’s relationship with his children, but two of them are special. Their names are Nwoye and Ezinma, and Okonkwo has two opinions about them. Nwoye is a guy, who also happens to be his oldest son. “Okonkwo’s first son, Nwoye, was then twelve years old…” (Achebe, pg 13). He does not see him in a good way since it reminds him of his dad and the way he was. Ezinma was his favorite daughter, and also the only child of Ekwefi. The book tells the story as Okonkwo prefers Ezinma and his struggles with his son Nwoye. But how different did he treat his two children? For Okonkwo, Nwoye was seen as the struggling son, who could not be at his father level. He was not seen powerful, demanding,
