Oklahoma City Thunder Case Study

The Oklahoma City Thunder wants to secure their spot in the postseason this early while the New Orleans Pelicans are gunning to get back on track and revive their campaign while it's too early. Rumors are spreading that a rumored deal between the Thunder, Pelicans, and Kings are said to be in works with Rudy Gay and Enes Kanter as trade pieces.

Currently holding a 15-9 record, the Thunder are doing just fine at the early going of the regular season sitting in the sixth spot of Western Conference division. However, many believe that they still lack the offensive firepower since Kevin Durant left them and join the Golden State Warriors as a free agent last summer. A proposed trade deal is being recommended to the Thunder, Pelicans, and Kings that involves 6 players. Trade scenario is suggesting as follows:
1. The New Orleans Pelicans will acquire Enes Kanter from the Thunder and Darren Collison from the Kings;
2. The Sacramento Kings will then get Kyle Singler from the Thunder and Jrue Holiday from the Pelicans;
3. Finally, the Oklahoma City Thunder will receive Rudy Gay from the Kings and Alexis Ajinca from the Pelicans.

The trade seems to be fair and at the same time beneficial to all teams involved. The Pelicans will have Kanter as another scoring punch that could support Davis down low while Collison will be an upgrade on the PG spot over Tim Frazier.

On the other hand, the Kings gets a good return for Gay and Collison. Though not in Gay's level, Singler is young and many believe that he has the potential if given enough playing minutes while Holiday is a tested point guard who can immediately start for
