On April 19, 1995, the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City was bombed by Anti-Government militant Timothy McVeigh and Co-Conspirator Terry Nichols. The Oklahoma City Bombing was known as the most threatening terrorist attacks to happen in the United States until six years later in 2001 when 9/11 took place in New York City, New York. One of the earliest bombings in the United States was on October 10, 1910 when two brothers bombed the Los Angeles Times building. Twenty-one people were killed and more than one hundred were injured. Later the brothers were captured and convicted the following year 1911. On September 16, 1920, Wall Street was bombed, killing thirty-eight people, seriously injuring one hundred and forty-three people, and injuring hundreds more that had minor injuries. The Wall street bombing was never solved completely, they thought maybe it dealt with labor struggles happening in the 1920’s. Nichols was the third of four siblings and was raised on farm by his parents Joyce and Robert Nichols while growing up. In his free time he cared for injured birds and animals, also he was good at running machinery and keeping the farm equipment up to date. In 1973 Nichols graduated high school and then attended college at Central Michigan University.
