The okapi has a rich, chocolate brown to dark plum color. On it’s hind areas there is a rich white color with stripes that resemble a zebra’s. The stripes help it camouflage easily in it’s surroundings. On it’s feet, they have what looks like white booties. The okapi has a long neck as it is a relative of the giraffe.The okapi can be known for it’s long black tongue Okapi’s have a typical weight of 200 kilograms- 300 kilograms. They are about 2.5 meters long and at the shoulder they are around 1.5 meters in height. Okapi’s have bilateral symmetry which means they can be split into even halves.
