Purpose: I intend to debate that the verdict in the OJ Simpson double homicide trial would have been guilty if proper procedures and protocols had been followed in the collection and handling of forensic evidence in the case.
Audience: My audience entails my classmates and my professor. This audience also includes those educated and/or experienced who may or may not be familiar with the case.
Working Thesis Statement: The verdict in the OJ Simpson trial would have been guilty had the stringent forensic procedures of today been implemented, specifically involving proper securing of the crime scene and immediate vicinity; introduction of contamination to the scene; and the chain of command on collected blood evidence.
