Some of the things that occur through his life may be affected by what happened when he was just in middle school. To better understand OJ Simpson as a person, you have to go back to his early years. Orenthal James Simpson was born in San Francisco, California on July 9th, 1947 to Jimmy and Eunice Simpson. He has two older siblings, Melvin and Shirley Simpson and one younger sibling, Carmelita.
At just a young age OJ got rickets, a disease caused by vitamin D deficiency. He had to wear a homemade iron bar connected to his shoes for 2-3 hours everyday till he was five years old because he couldn’t afford surgery to fix his leg. He got bullied as a kid for having this disease and bullies use to call him “Pencil Pins.” All these struggles pointed to everything but a career in athletics.

One of Orenthal’s closest friends said in his own book How I Helped OJ Get Away With Murder said this concerning if he did it, “He did that. Of that I am 100% certain.” Another one of OJ lawyers said a famous quote concerning the glove found one the crime scene that didn’t quite fit OJ’s hand, “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit.” Some people speculate that OJ and his lawyers might have injected OJ hands causing them to swell up so they wouldn’t fit the glove.
