Healthcare reform in Ohio
Healthcare reform was to help additional funding to Medicaid program to cover people under the age of 65 and with income up to 133% of the federal poverty level. That provides that means that people in Ohio can get free or lowered cost care regardless of disability family status or finances (Fraley 2015).
Positive and negative outcomes The positives are that there are more people that have medical insurance especially those that have conditions that most insurance would not cover but “But there are still plenty who don't get coverage, especially in central Ohio. Enroll America estimates that nearly 61,000 Franklin County residents don't have insurance. That's down from nearly 156,000 in 2013, but it's still more than the uninsured in Cuyahoga, Hamilton and Montgomery counties combined” (Kurtzman,2016).some of the reasons that people might not have signed up is they might have trouble with navigating the computer, they might not have a computer and need help getting to one with the internet. even though there are many positives to the health care reform there are some negatives by overcrowding of medical services and the rising cost of health care. No healthcare system is perfect but I think that if we keep trying to advocate good healthcare for everyone people we are in the right
