“No trait is more justified than revenge in the right time and place” (Kahane). Is it really? Will you heal yourself by hurting another one? When there was no more pain to make them feel will you feel satisfied, are you going to smile like a cheshire cat? Feel yourself, feel and understand what you want to do. According to the Cambridge Dictionary, revenge’s meaning is “harm done to someone as a punishment for harm that they have done to someone else” (“Revenge” --Cambridge Dictionary). If there is punishment for punishment, there is only one result as Mahatma Ghandi said “an eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind” (Ghandi). Revenge is not justified. While I was doing my research about the revenge the most catchy question was “is revenge ever justified?”. In the website called debate.org, as an answer to the question “Is revenge justified?” 53% of the people said “no it is not justified” and the other 47% stand against them and said “yes revenge is justified” (“Is Revenge Justified?”). She underestimated just who she was stealing from” (Taylor Swift Lyrics). The blind time period after the fresh pain, pushed her to the extreme desire to take revenge. In this period, with the desire of taking revenge she might take action and hurt the person against her but what will she gain? Nothing but a temporary satisfaction. If you take your revenge and hurt the person against you what will be the
