Ofrendas are collections of objects that are commonly used to honor loved ones during the day of the dead. I created an ofrenda for Barry Allen. Barry Allen was The Flash, he saved many lives during his lifetime. Barry died not only saving our universe, but an infinite number of universes when the multiverse was in danger. Within my ofrenda I have “marigold petals”, a glass of water, black skull, The Flash helmet, candles, pictures of Barry’s loved ones and many pictures of Barry as The Flash. Marigolds are used within ofrendas because the scent and glow of the flowers are said to guide the spirits. Also a glass of water is used to help quench the thirst from the spirit’s rigorous journey. Next, I put The Flash helmet, the helmet was always special to him it helped him to bring his enemies down. I also used candles to represent fire the ofrenda is supposed to contain the four elements: Earth,Wind,Fire,and Water. I used the pictures of Barry’s loved ones because he was always motivated by them. I included a picture of one of Barry’s wifes (Yes he had many wives it's hard not to when you don’t age) Iris was always Barry’s true loved, they were best friends as kids. He was forced to move in with her after the death of Nora Allen and the imprisonment of his father. Barry was raised by Joe West, the father of Iris, Joe was always there for Barry. Wally West was the son of Joe, Joe was unaware he had son, When, he found out Wally was soon accepted in as part of the family. Wally soon was transformed by Flashpoint into a speedster he became close to Barry as he worked alongside him. However, that is only one of the origin stories of Kid Flash , he also is said to be the nephew Bart Allen, Bart Allen was given his speed in the same way as Barry Allen. I included many pictures of Barry Allen as the Flash because Barry loved being The Flash it was more important to him than anything, he loved helping people.
