First, from an ethics standpoint US employees may negatively be impacted due to direct job losses incurred. Off shoring of US based jobs will decrease the overall utility of the employees that lose jobs to foreign workers. In addition the unemployment rates may go up in the communities in the US as jobs are off shored, such a loss will have a huge impact for a society that relies on such jobs. Second, US employees may also see off shoring of jobs as an unethical social act if the low income job seekers in the foreign country get paid less than their US counterparts. Lastly employment and work based safety laws may be drastically different between US and a foreign country where the jobs are being off shored. Employees in the US may raise concerns that a business may be jeopardizing the health of low income workers in foreign nation without providing proper safety and protection to workers who will inherit the US based jobs.
On the contrary, from a foreign employee standpoint they may see working on an off shore

In order to stay in competition companies have to find innovative ways to grow and scale the business. Offshoring therefore helps companies become more flexible and helps them adapt to ever changing business environment. From an ethical stand point having a perspective where off shoring is used as a strategic plan to improve the growth of the business therefore will provide a higher utility overall. Offshoring can help a business adapt and innovate thereby adding more to the business bottom line. If the demand for the business product and services grow so will the workforce not just in the US but also in the countries where jobs were originally offshored. From an utilitarian point of view such an action by the company therefore will be considered an ethical act as it hopes it increase the overall utility of all the parties
