According to the author Biography(2017), Officer Arndt made numerous mistakes when she responded to the Ramsey home. The first mistake Officer Ardnt made was failing to secure the scene by closing off the residence. The second mistake was She failed to control the crime scene to prevent a possible witness from moving. The third mistake was she failed to order to isolate all possible witness or suspects for interrogation. The author Saferstein (2014) also notes that the Father, John was even allowed to exit the possible crime scene and return one hour and thirty minutes later to research the home with a friend. Johns allegedly found the body at in the basement wrapped in cloth and carried her upstairs and placed her in the living room.This act in itself raised some major concerns. If I am looking for a child, I would have searched the entire home before contacting the police. I would look all entrances, exits, and windows to identify where a perpetrator entered my home. I would be hoping this was a sick joke. This crime scene was so contaminated that if police found evidence of foul play, the defendants could have easily filled a motion to …show more content…
