Rehabilitation is used to help bring out a change in the offenders’ behavior. Once an offender has gone through rehabilitation and the program was a success. Then the goal was met and the number of offenders is cut down. According to the textbook by Frank Schmalleger, “rehabilitation generally works through education and psychological treatment to reduce the like hood of future criminality” (Schmalleger, Frank. Page 274, Chapter Nine). Some rehabilitation programs are used to help offender while they are still serving their sentence. Some programs offered to offenders are Education and Vocational Programs, Psychology Services Programs, and Chaplaincy Services Programs.
