Indian Land now features a plethora of many different restaurants. Off-campus lunches would allow students to choose from numerous selections. Whether they are competing on the field or in the classroom, students work hard. However it is hard for them to do their best on an empty stomach. An Indian Land student’s tray at lunch typically features one fruit, one vegetable, a large portion of French fries, and a reasonable amount of the main food item of the day. Students find themselves starving as soon as they get home from school because they are not getting enough nutrients at lunch to keep them going. Students are able to grab more food but must pay extra for this. Restaurants provide healthy food for consumers. According to the “2012 Food and Health Survey” six out of ten Americans give “a lot of thought to their diet” (Romotsky). Indian Land High School does not help students who are trying to diet and lose weight. At Indian Land, teenage girls want to lose weight, but cannot do this because of the food offered at Indian
