Westley is the type of guy that any girl would want to fall in love with. He is a real charmer who only has eyes for the one who captures his heat. His only fault may be that he would do anything for true love because he knows real love is something you do not find everyday and he knows it is something which is truly special. He would be that one guy who would take a bullet for one whom he truly loved. Westley is by far, the most important character in the movie. Due to his strong bravery, smart witts, and enhanced love and loyalty, Westley is definitely the character who many look up to. Even though Westley knew he would have to fight against strong men who were involved in buttercups kidnapping, his bravery shone through and nothing would stop him. This is where Westley was very smart and decided to, instead of fighting, use his smarts and make a deal with Vizzini. Westley told him that he would put poison in one wine glass and whoever drank the poisoned one would die. Westley thought fast and put the poison in both the glasses so whichever one Vizzini picked, either way, he would be the one to die. Westley putting the poison in both cups was very clever and smart. The movie shows this because it really confused Vizzini and when he switched the glasses when Westley had looked away, he thought Wesley would have the one drink with the poison. So he drank his wine with satisfaction he wouldn't die, little did he know, he would be dead as few moments later. Wesley is a very smart character in this movie which In the movie, was a key factor in what helped him stay alive. Even though Westley was away for a long time, he still came back for buttercup.
