Being inspired by a character in literature is very common. In Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, George is one of the primary characters, and is a role model to the others. Through George’s intellect, commitment, and attentiveness he goes through life trying to achieve his dream while looking after Lennie even though they face obstacles.
George’s intellect gets him closer to his goal. Therefore, he understands Lennie and his actions. George comprehends how Lennie feels and responds to Candy:¨All the time he done bad things, but he never done one of ´em mean¨ (Steinbeck 95). George is understanding of Lennie because he knows that all the bad things he's done were never meant as they came out. George does not end up achieving his goal but he does get to a point where he would have through his intelligence.

In result,George knows that Curley's wife is going to cause trouble in the future with Lennie. George responds to Lennie's reaction to the view of Curley's wife and says, ¨Don't you even take a look at that bitch. I don't care what she says and what she does. I seen ´em poison before, but I never seen no piece of jailbait worse than her. You leave her be¨ (Steinbeck 32). George is aware of the things that Curley's wife is capable of and doesn't let Lennie interact with her. With Georges attentiveness he helps Lennie stay on track.
The many features George has helps him get through his problems such as being intellectual , committed, and attentive. George goes through life with many people looking up to him and trusting him and he is able to figure out ways to fix his and Lennie's problems when still working hard to make others happy. George can be compared as a snake because of his small but quick moves during the story. Throughout the story, he makes a lot of changes with his personality, so it will impact others
