Even though it may seem like a small feature of such a big play, it is one of the most important aspects. In Of Mice and Men, the characters had more of a country accent. They sounded like what you would expect farmers. Their actions went along with their words, making their performance great and very realistic. If the workmen did not portray the characters this way, it would have thrown the whole play off. Not only did the workers have an accent, the other characters, like the Boss, had accents that fit with their character. In my opinion, the Springer did a great job of casting actors who could perform the character consistently the way it was
