In the book Curly 's was described as extremely short. That was part of the justification for why Curly acted like he did and you could say he had "Short Man Syndrome". But in the movie he wasn 't that much shorter that a lot of the other characters. Another difference with the characters was Lennie 's height. In the book Lennie was supposed to be huge. It even says, " His shoulders could fill the doorway." Even though he was tall he was not as big as he was made to be in the book. The last difference I will talk about is when Lennie, Candy, and Crooks were talking. In the movie they were the only people in the room and no one else came in but the book was a completely different story. In the book while the three of them were talking Curly 's Wife came in and said that she would get him hanged. I think that if that would have happened in the movie I would view her differently and she probably wouldn 't be one of my favorite characters. The movie not putting that part in changed her character
