Conflict can be everywhere we can learn from them if the situation is good or bad.
The story follows the characters Lennie Small, who has a thinking disability and George Milton onto a ranch where they meet all of the men that work there, along with Curley and his wife. Lennie has trouble fitting in there so the two decides that they would raise enough money for their own place one day then one of the workers Candy, hears this and decides to join them. When Lennie is hiding in the barn from the people because he had just accidentally killed his puppy he had gotten only a couple days ago. Soon enough Curley's wife comes to visit. the two get to talking even though Lennie isn't supposed to. Then curley's wife says to Lennie to touch her hair and Lennie pulled a bit to tight and snapped her neck. He then remembers to go hide in the brush Gorge told him to hide in earlier in the story. The other men discover what had happened in the barn and decide to find and kill Lennie. George didn’t want the men to kill Lennie so he goes to kill Lennie himself. Lennie would probably last that long without him. When George talks about the time he could have a swell life then Lennie mentions, “Gorge, you want I should go away and leave you alone” (pg 13). He also mentions how he could find a place to stay, “I could go off in the hills there. Some place I’d find a cave” (13) George then defends him saying he would never last. Then he promises Lennie a puppy because he has been mean. Another way Lennie learns that he would be troubled if George wasn't with him is when old crooks suggested that george wasn't coming back. Lennie got really defensive for his friend george. So if George wasn't there for Lennie would get into lots of trouble. It’s good to have a friend at your
