Of Mice and Men- Dreams
“A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality,” said John Lennon, the lead singer and songwriter for the Beetles. Sometimes dreams can be harder to believe when they aren 't shared, but if you share them with someone close to you they can be more comforting and convincing. This quote shows how motivated the men are to move into their own place, and swiftly at that. They have come to realize that the sooner they start doing the things they love and the things they actually want to do, the more radiant their lives will be. This goes to show that dreams are possible if you set your mind to them and have a positive attitude towards the process. Don’t give up on your hopes and dreams just because they aren’t happening now, make them happen! In a comparable way, the song “Let Me Take You There” …show more content…
In the novel Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck and the song “Let Me Take You There” by the Plain White Tees, my thesis proves that when you share a dream with someone close to you, it gives you just the slightest more hope and ambition towards pursuing that dream. Even though George, Lennie, and Candy didn’t get to pursue their dream because Lennie died, that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t have if things hadn’t got in the way. Dreaming is believing, follow your hopes and dreams and never give up on the pursuit to what will make you
