In the book Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck George Milton kills his best friend Lennie Small. Because Lennie did bad things which he would of been killed for by other characters, but George decided to shoot Lennie in the head when he was not looking so he did not suffer. George also knew that if he did not do it himself Curley would have beaten and killed Lennie for killing his wife in much harsher ways than if George killed him. Lennie did not deserve to die because he ultimately had not intention of hurting and killing those he did kill.

We put Maxine, who was 13, to sleep because she got a brain tumor and started doing stupid things like running away and acting funny like standing outside while it was pouring rain. Which for her was odd because she did not like rain, storms, lightning, or thunder. My family decided to put her to sleep ultimately because there was something about the look in her eyes that said I 'm hurting, I 'm in pain and I do not know what to do. Also physically she was very unhealthy and emotionally you could see she was drained and standing on her last leg. Which every time she looked at me made me cry and sad because like any family member you try to keep them apart of your life as long as possible. For example, even though George says things about life without Lennie in it, he knows Lennie is a big part in his life and is important to him not only as a friends, but what is left of his family. Even when George says, "An ' whatta I got, I got you! You can 't keep a job and you lose me ever ' job I get. Jus ' keep me shovin ' all over the country all the time." I feel that some people he accidentally harmed or hurt had it coming. Like Curley, who thought Lennie was laughing at him and Curley did not like people who were bigger than him so he started a fight with Lennie. It then backfired on Curley and Lennie almost broke every finger in Curley 's hand. Or when Curley 's wife came into the barn when Lennie was alone trying to figure out what to do with his dead puppy. I think she should have left Lennie alone and not bothered with him even though she felt lonely and wanted to talk. Which could lead to big trouble which in the end it did. Overall my reasonings for
