One of the very first things you learn from this book is that basically all of the characters end up being effected by loneliness. Steinbeck stats, the farm hands are “the loneliest guys in the world. They got no family. They don’t belong no place.”(16). This so clearly relates to a teenagers life because as they go through high school some teenagers start to question why their even there to begin with. They don’t understand what purpose their serving to the world and they don’t know where their future is going to take them. They start to think that they’re the only person going through what they’re going through, but they don’t realize that there are so many people there to help them understand it all. Teenagers just need to realize that there are ways to get through their loneliness and this book helps teenagers realize how to do
