He shows that this is a tragedy, he points out that the book is a piece of history that shows exactly how this time in period was. He points that that the literature is not just for happy endings but that sometimes it shows how the truth is. He mentions that in order to have more realist book there is need for the use of bad words, sex and social issues. He mentions that Steinbeck did a phenomenal job because he talks the truth. He shows that none of the characters are pure good but none are pure bad.
He also mentions that this book is not the typical book that you will expect to read with the happy ending, but this is one that will keep it real and it won’t show fake things. A book that expresses emotion in various ways. The book mainly focus on showing realist aspects of life in this period of time. This was a time where life was really hard. The main key points of the book is to show the conditions this people lived in. this book was to show how important was for them to find a job. In this period of time Lennie and George were the typical people to go from farm to farm looking for people to work for. This article also mentions how you can connect with the characters and to show how important it is to understand why the character is the way it is.
