It was gruesome and sad, but that is not why I liked it. I have heard the story of Emmet Till before, but have never heard it in detail. This cleared up a lot of questions I had and misconceptions I had heard. It was entertaining. It was a a well written story with great dialog. I also liked it because it made me think about how unfairly some people are treated for something they can not control. Like there skin color or there gender. It is sad to think that people are automatically judged for that. It has helped me realize that I need to be more open, understanding, and caring about people with different biological genes. I love passages that tell a story, but have a meaning that really makes you think. That is what I thought was so great about this
