One of the significant decisions is Odysseus’ accord to rest on the Cyclops’ island and approach the Cyclops’ cave. If Odysseus hadn’t settled on greeting Polyphemus, he wouldn’t have lost men and they wouldn’t have been trapped with no way out besides relocating the boulder. Suddenly, Odysseus thought of a plan to escape the cave where Polyphemus would remove the boulder, but wouldn’t be able to catch Odysseus and his men from escaping. Odysseus’ idea was to make Polyphemus blind, so he would move the boulder and not be able to catch Odysseus and his men.
