All of their adventures came with hardships, but all of them concluded their treks with a different perspective on life. Odysseus embarked on his journey simply to get home, but learned many things, like how to think quickly and to not let pride influence decisions. Kira Salak wanted to be the first woman to achieve the dangerous journey another explorer underwent. Running off of the concept of self-achievement, she went on the journey and learned that she should not let any type of hardship stop her from reaching her goal. The nameless character from “The Journey”, just wanted to end the negative thoughts in her head and ended up learning that even though the negative things seem continual, we should never give up because things will get better.
