Odysseus Becoming A Hero In Homer's Odyssey

You may think that a journey is a waste of time, but in reality we take journeys every single day at school or home or even with a team. The journey is taken to complete a quest. I believe out of the two of them that a journey is more important. The journey is traveling from place to place in search of the task at hand. It’s the most important because without the journey there would be no quest and journey is how to become the best person that you can be. You need the journey to complete or accomplish any task that you are given. The journey gives you many opportunities to become a hero. You learn the rights from wrong and how to handle tough times. The journey can also help you to become a hero, a hero that can save you from defeat or from the toughest challenges. The journey is how you learn what it takes to be a hero and grow stronger. In the book, “The Odyssey”, Odysseus changed. He turned himself around and by the end wasn’t as self-absorbed. In the end Odysseus showed a few qualities of a hero and that is a good thing because he deserves to be a hero after that he’s gone through. Odysseus started to have determination to stay alive and make it home and became selfless since he started to care about the people around him. Odysseus made sure that he didn’t tell Penelope about his return so he could keep her safe from the suitors.
