Odysseus shows to be on a quest throughout the story. Odysseus is told to go and join the trojan war where his quest started, and it ended when he returned home to meet his son and see his wife after 20 years. Throughout his quest, Odysseus faces many challenges like having to go through too many monsters and facing many gods. Many times, through the book Odysseus I seen to be argent and sometimes jumps into action. Like in the book" Eurylochus tells Odysseus what has happened and begs him to sail away from Circe's island, against this advice, however, Odysseus rushes to save his men from the enchantress."(pg.1208) Odysseus doesn’t have a plan to save his men, he just thinks he can save him. Some may say that this was noble, but it was more egotistic and foolish. Odysseus also doesn’t have a good heart. He kills the maids that were forced to be with the suitors, also he didn’t care about his crew because he thought he was so skilled that he went up against Scylla and lost more men than he was said to have lost.
