A man who puts his men and crew in danger is that really a hero. Well, I don't think that is very heroic. Odysseus put his men into danger. He commits adultery by sleeping with Circes for an entire year. Which, he is very selfish also because, he is the only one tied to the mask so he can listen to the song of the sirens. First, Odysseus put his men in danger multiple times. When they go to past the sirens he is not guaranteed that the wax will work and save the crew from being drowned and eaten. Even though when he puts his men in danger also, he protects them in the same sense. Secondly, Odysseus also is an adulterous man he sleep with Circes for a whole year.
