Essay On Absorb The Odours

Absorb the odours
This is where we get to dive into a little bit of odour eliminating voodoo. Although people have their opinions as to why these different methods work, most don’t really know. All that matters is that it works, right?

Coffee grounds
Place open bowls of coffee grounds in cupboards or places that have lingering smoke smells. Like magic, these grounds will kill odours like that’s what it was made for.

Plain charcoal
Use charcoal like the coffee grounds. Feel free to buy charcoal that is intended for use inside your barbecuer, but do not purchase the variety that has starter fluid infused into the charcoal for easier lighting. You need plain charcoal.

Ammonia
Place a pan of ammonia in a room and let it sit until it all evaporates.

Just because it is being done surely does not make it safe, but the point here is that you find MUCH less reservation about the use of hydroxyl generators in the presence of humans or animals.

Use a thermal fogger
Remember those nifty fog producing machines at the last concert or rave you went to? Most of the time, that eerie fog effect is produced with something called a thermal fogger. Thermal fogging is not only fun, but useful as well. If all else fails, you may need to call in a professional to use a thermal fogger to infuse your home with odour killing fog.

The premise of using a thermal fogger makes sense. A fog of an odour killing solution travels through your home much like the smoke from the fire that started all of this stink. The thermal fog finds its way into every crack and crevice that the nasty smoke did, neutralizing all of those hidden smoke smells that are waiting to emerge the next time you have company over.

Thermal fogging may make a great follow up to thorough cleaning to ensure that each and every whiff of smoke is gone forever, or until the next time your teenager cooks dinner.
