Many of the myths say that Odin and his younger brothers, Ve and Vili, actually created the universe. Before the world existed they are said to have killed the original frost giant Ymir. Then they used the blood, bones, and flesh of his large body to create the world. Such as using his blood as the salt water oceans and his large bones to create mountains. Odin is then said to have made the first man and woman from an ash tree and an elm tree (Rosenberg).

He was looked upon for inspiration by the warriors. He created Valhalla, a great hall for the heroic dead. Odin created this hall for all soldiers. He would go and gather all the warriors that were killed in battle and take them there. This would allow all those soldiers to then fight alongside the gods. They fought on the Vigrid plain attempting to give the gods strength and save them in the final battle against the frost giants. After this battle, and the gods were able to defeat the frost giants and this is when odin was able to create the universe (Odin- Norse Mythology).
Odin was and still is the most famous norse god, having many myths and legends told about him. He is know for many of his different aspects and achievements. He is to believed by many to have created the universe and people, so he is praised by all who believe these myths. Odin and all of his myths will continue to be told for many more years to
