I feel like this was the best thing for AQHA. Without this leveling system participation would eventually hit an all-time low. It is hard to compete with someone that has a ton of money and can keep buying and running up the prices of horses until they can win anything and everything. When showing with people that own companies as large as Ocean Spray, it is hard to compete. However, just because they have money does not mean they can ride. It is possible to buy talented horses, but you can’t buy talent to ride it. Thankfully, I have been able to do well in the industry because of the fact that I have the talent to ride. Not all people are like that though, they are not able to afford the high priced horses and they cannot ride to save their
