From the few beach trips in the past 17 years, seeing garbage ruined the relaxation. Thinking thoughts of how people could possibly litter by the shore or all the sewage being dumped into the ocean. These problems date back to the Industrial Evolution for more technology was being created to speed up and increase production. The first negative pollution was the smog created from burning coal in the 18th and 19th century. Just like air pollution, our water has been faced with a similar issue. Many companies have pipelines leading into the ocean and it being where all our rear excrements are sent off to. It is estimated that over 1 billion of the population does not access clean drinking water and every 15 seconds a child is killed from contaminated diseases. In the recent years, studies have shown beach pollution increasing in number. Plastic manufacturing companies each year create and sell more plastic than the previous. 260 million of plastic is made and 10 percent of it is found in the Ocean. The situation of having clean beaches is the propitious conditions for the wildlife, habitués, and environment.

Foamed plastic cups take about 50 years, Plastic beverage holder takes 400 years, disposable diapers take 450 years, plastic bottles take 450 years and a fishing line takes 600 years. Seals also ingest this harmful plastic. It causes intestinal injury and death ingesting about 12,000 to 24,000 tons of plastic each year. Seabirds will eat the bags which will fill up the stomach making less space for any other food to enter leading to starvation.
