Ocean Monologue

I was born in a small dock, a dumb bird, a stupid creature with no real values or morals, barely scraping by. When I was a child I learned how to fly. My parents pushed me off the dock, and into the ocean. I felt the wind in my feathers, I felt the rush of adrenaline. The fantastic feeling that's almost indescribable. It was like nothing ever seen before, felt liberated like I could go anywhere, but soon I grew tired. I felt as if I were trapped, I almost fell into the ocean. I was barely able to make it to the beach, half asleep as the waves brought me in. I was able to wake up and fly back home, my parents were worried that a human could have caught me, or worse, I could have drowned. Nobody would have noticed. The years went by slowly, I had a love but she wasn't as lucky as me. The ocean got her. I had children with her, though only two survived their youth and into adulthood. …show more content…
I attempted to escape, but I couldn't. They had caught me, and they didn't want to let me go. They stuck me in a cage, until one day, a human came along, they felt pity for me. They freed me. Though I hadn't flown in years, I felt true freedom again, flying as long as I could. Breathing the fresh ocean air again, feeling the wind against my feathers, I felt love again.
While I was caged nobody noticed, I was gone. Life went on. Soon I will die, and hopefully my children can move on like I did. Hopefully they will learn what I have, and they teach their children what they have learned. Maybe one day, I will meet my parent's again. We'll fly together forever in an infinite space of happiness and bliss, we all move on we all find love and happiness. I had a dream that I could be free when I was a child, I am living that dream. My children have their own dreams, we all have separate identities, but we are all the same deep down. Nobody wants to admit it, but it is true. And soon, soon I will make my last flight. I am

Hello Nosleep family. I'm writing to you tonight because I've experienced something grim in the last few days. This is the first time I've had access to anything connected to the internet since shortly after the "incident" began. Sitting in the Raleigh, North Carolina airport, waiting for my family's bags to be checked and boarded onto the plane, my unusually calm three year old rests on my lap, as we sit together counting down the minutes until my family must board the plane. As my nephew gets impatient, I grab your book out of his book bag, and began to read. Once again, I am not surprised when your effortless words calm my nerves, and fear leaving my brother and his kids. As I read the last phrase, on the last page, I look nervously at my silent nephew. “Again!”…

Ever since I was little I have been very adventurous and open-minded to trying new things. I was always excited to have the opportunity to make new memories that would last a lifetime. I went to Sixflags Over Texas quite a bit as a child, since it was only thirty minutes from my house. Every time I made my way toward the Superman I would stop and admire the people on the ride known as Dive Bomber Alley. A ride that slowly brings you up to a one hundred and fifty foot arch before it drops you with nothing but the sky to catch your fall.…

Growing up in Southern California we spent most of our summers at Lake Havasu and Parker. For as long as I can remember, getting to spend my summers on the lake with my close friends and family was what got me through the school year, knowing that for a full month I would have no cares in the world except for what adventures lay ahead of us. Starting to pack and load up the RV was all I could think about for days, seeing as this was the last summer we would all spend together.…
