Ocean Descriptive Writing

As Jodie Daugherty walked along the shoreline, the ocean water caressed her feet. The air was getting warmer by the minute even though it was still early in the morning. As she walked, she made a mental note to make sure she would come back to the beach after her shift was over. By then the sun would be on the horizon, and the water will be refreshingly cooler. Nonchalantly, her tan sandals suspended from her fingertips. They were plain and ordinary, in fact they were just a simple pair of sandals with no heels to speak of , and with thin leather toe straps that wrapped around her big toe and then another strap wrapping around her ankles. But to her they were comfortable and that's all that matters seeing that she is always on her feet waitressing at the local bar and grill seafood place called Joe's Bar and Grill Shack due to lack of staffers. The rhythmic sound soothed her soul. She doesn't think she'll ever get tired of her daily walks on the beach. To her, the beach was stunning, it continually took her breath away with it's powdery soft tan sand and shapely palm trees, but most of all it was the water that appealed to her the most. Sometimes, on sunny days, the water would appear to be a turquoise in color as it would reflect the brilliancy of the blue sky, but as you got closer to the water, it would actually look clear. Maybe this was a silly dream, but she had always been fascinated by the sea ever since she was a little girl. The water, the marine life under the water.
