Many people interpret “wellness” To be of only physical health. But in fact wellness can be defined as the pursuit and continued growth and balance in terms of the seven dimensions of wellness. Wellness is more than just physical activity. Wellness is integration of mental, spiritual well-being and physical. The quality of life is lead by these complex interactions. This program that I’ve created is intended for my family. First we will start off our Physical Wellness by establishing goals that we can achieve together. By setting specific goals that are achievable and forgiving. Instead of just saying to my family “we will exercise”, I will set a goal for us to start us with walking at least 30 minutes a day for at least 3 times a week. Once this goal is achieved I can then introduce a challenge for my family and I, to …show more content…
Also by focusing on the viewpoints that are different from one another. We can also try and learn a foreign language together, or by trying to learn how to play musical instruments together. For our Occupational Wellness we can write down our qualities, strengths and weaknesses. Talk to each other and see what our goals in life are. We can also assess the direction of our future plans are. We can work together in making us all a leader and not a follower. For our Environmental Wellness since we all have a huge impact on our planet, together we can challenge ideas by choosing a different form of transportation, by walking, biking, and eve using public transportation. We can carpool, with friends or family. When it comes to foods we can chose to eat local, seasonal or organic. For our clothing we can choose local stores instead of shipping, we can choose thrift shops as they always have goo things and sometime new
