Occupational Therapy Goals

It has always been my goal to be the first one to go to college. Now that I’m in college I want to accomplish my other goal and that is working in the health care field. I knew that I wanted to have a profession where I could help people and make a difference. I heard the different areas of health care professions it offered I immediately started thinking what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. When I heard occupational therapy and what they do, I knew I wanted to become one. Being an occupational therapist is going to allow me to help people.     I had gotten my feet wet by taking several health classes, and volunteering with the school athletic trainer during my high school years. I also plunged into it by working as a certified nurse’s assistant at a nursing home, and as a home health care aid, and direct support staff doing respite work.
